We aim to be clear about information that may be processed when you visit our buying guides, follow retailer links or contact us.

Information we may collect

When you browse this website, the site and its service providers may process technical and usage information, such as your IP address, approximate location derived from your connection, browser and device type, pages requested, referring site, timestamps and security or diagnostic logs. This information can support website delivery, protection, maintenance and measurement.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address and the message content. We use that information to respond to your request and maintain necessary correspondence.

Analytics and website services

Good Things Atlas uses WordPress and hosting, performance, search and website-management services. Our WordPress installation includes Google Site Kit, Jetpack and LiteSpeed Cache. Depending on which integrations are enabled and how they are configured, these services may use cookies or similar technologies and process site-usage, performance, security or diagnostic information.

When Google Analytics or another measurement feature is enabled, Google or another relevant service provider may receive usage information in accordance with its applicable privacy terms and consent settings. The presence of a WordPress plugin does not necessarily mean every feature of that plugin is active for every visitor.

Affiliate links and other websites

Some guides contain tracked links to Amazon or other retailers. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may process information about the referral and your interactions under its own privacy policy, including through cookies or similar technology. If you make a qualifying purchase, Good Things Atlas may earn a commission. We do not receive your full retailer payment-card details or fulfill those orders.

Email subscriptions and forms

The site uses WordPress tools capable of supporting forms or email subscriptions. If you voluntarily submit a form or sign up for an email list where that feature is offered, the information requested there may be processed to provide the requested communication. Marketing emails, if offered, should include an unsubscribe mechanism. Merely visiting an article does not constitute an email subscription.
